There could be several reasons why the issue you are experiencing occurs. If you already checked our Known Issues and Error page and the issue persisted or you did not find the exact issue you are experiencing, you can do a few general troubleshooting to pinpoint and hopefully resolve the issue. You may try the following workarounds below:
- It is possible that there are other software or applications running on your computer that take up your RAM. Additionally, some software or applications may be in conflict with Game Center. You may try to free up RAM by closing other open programs.
- Make sure that you have Virtualization Enabled as Game Center requires this to run smoothly.
- Make sure that you have Core Isolation Memory Integrity turned Off in Windows Security.
- If you are using AVG/Avast antivirus, try to disable hardware-assisted virtualization as this prevents Game Center from using the virtualization resource.
- Try restarting the Game Center platform. When running games, make sure to open it through the Game Center platform instead of the desktop shortcut of the game.
- Run the Game Center with administrator rights. To do this, left click on the play store icon then select Run as Administrator.
- Shut down and restart your computer. Re-launch Game Center and see if the problem has been resolved.
- Check your internet connection. One quick way to do this is by running a ping test through the Command Prompt. Press the Windows Key and type in CMD. Open Command Prompt and type in “ping Game Center” There should be no packet % loss, and your ping should have a low average ms.
- Scan for viruses and malware. Once done, temporarily close your anti-virus and see if you will be able to run Game Center without any issues.
- Check your firewall settings and ensure that Game Center is not blocked.
- Make sure that your drivers are updated.
- Reinstall Game Center. Completely uninstall Game Center by following the Uninstall guide on this link. Once done, install Game Center, this time, make sure to use select Run as Administrator on the installer.
